At the recent MMT: The Eclectic Approach to TMD 1 Day in Chile, someone asked a simple but great question. - "Why Do You Use Repeated Motions?"
I think the common misconceptions of repeated motions stems from a few things
- no familiarity with MDT concepts
- traditional use of OMPT (glides, oscillations, distractions)
- viewing osteokinematic motion as too simple to work
- not realizing that anything novel, and non-threatening can work with the right explanation, interaction, and education
