Quick Links!
Today's Quick Links come from Seth's Blog, Kettlebell Therapy, and Jeff Cubos.
Dr. Ben Fung wrote this post on Unsnagging the Kettlebell Snatch after I asked him to break it down for me. Great pics and explanation of the deceleration. Prior to his advice, I was decelerating it with grip, but am now working on getting 10 consecutive reps with a light landing on the forearm. Thanks for the pics, explanation and vid Ben! Extremely helpful!
Dr. Jeff Cubos reviewed A Neuroscience Approach to Managing Athletes with Low Back Pain by Puentedura and Louw. I have the article and it is a good read. Chronic pain exists in all populations and athletes are no exception. I do find clinically however, that many times athletes are more motivated to perform their corrective exercises. Their persistent pain states often stem from improper or over-training as opposed to central sensitization.
Lastly, @pranaPT on twitter found this concise post on what we know separates us from the other 10 times busier mills all around us. What's the simple antidote to a corporatized, unfeeling, profit-maximizing world? Read Seth's Blog to find out!
