Quick Links!
This weekend's Quick Links come from The JOSPT, Runner's World, and youtube!
The vid comes first, I've been practicing my kettlebell form (it really is like a martial art getting it right), and my students found this vid on youtube of a TGU with 185#! Pretty amazing stuff.
Here is an article summary for cervical thrust manipulation vs. kinesiotaping for mechanical neck pain. The manip group had greater changes in cervical rotation only, and both groups had improvements in pain, but not disability. I have to read the article in detail after I obtain it to see if they were acute. I know one other benefit of cervical thrust vs. kinesiotaping, I do not need to purchase supplies to use it!
Runner's World (thanks to Better Movement's FB page for posting) reviewed research to show different reasons why prolonged sitting is bad for you. The uninterrupted sitting group has insulin and glucose levels 20% higher than those of the active group! Prolonged sitting.... more reason not to do it!
Have a great weekend everyone!
