Today's Quick Links come from Tim Richardson, PT, an interview with Stuart McGill, and Allan Besselink
Tim Richardson of PT Diagnosis asks whether we need Physical Therapists or Algorithms.
I think our profession, in healthcare is unique in the amount of time we spend with our patients. Sometimes 2-3 times/week, an initial evaluation that may last an hour. Actually listening to our patients, not to mention touching them, possibly for the first time in an area that may reproduce or alleviate their symptoms. Yeah, there's no algorithm for that.

Allan writes about PTs and their self image. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Our own autonomy is mostly held back by ourselves as much as professions that don't want us to be equals.
