SMR reviews an article where the authors try to identify predisposing factors that may predict hamstring re-injury. They found 4 factors
- Grade 1 strains were more likely than grade 0, and 2
- Ipsilateral ACL reconstruction
- larger initial tear area
- agility and stabilization programs were more successful at limiting re-injury than strengthening and stabiliation
I wonder if the effects of manual therapy plus exercise would have limited the effects of re-injury further?
