Great Post! Medicare Uses "Inaccurate and Inconsistent Data" to Audit Providers
via Physical Therapy Diagnosis
Who audits the auditors? I once "failed" a Medicare Audit for putting checkmarks on heat, I was just logging that it was performed, didn't charge for it, as it's not reimbursable, and didn't log time, because it's not a time based/skilled treatment. They even said I would have passed if not for the checks, and retracted payment retroactively for several visits, DESPITE the patient getting better functionally and meeting other paperwork and auditing guidelines.
